Who We Are

Project 2713 is a 501(c)3 non-profit created to celebrate intra-family and local adoptions by supporting those in need of financial assistance and resources. We are currently focused on helping families throughout Texas and our team represents five different counties surrounding Dallas/Fort Worth.

The founder, Sarah Haug, is passionate about this mission because of her own family's story. The joy that Sarah's grandfather has shared about being adopted by his step-grandfather has been the inspiration and driving force to see that intra-family adoptions are recognized. We believe that keeping children within their own loving family helps to develop security through familial love and support and promotes emotional and psychological health.

What Does "Project 2713" Mean?

Our name is representative of the Bible verse, Psalm 27:13: "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Sarah's grandfather was adopted by his step-grandfather and as a result, was blessed with the inheritance of farmland where he still lives. We believe "land of the living" is a reference to all of God's children, and pledge to take care of them by supporting local and inner-family adoptions. Through the selfless and loving act of adoption, we see God's goodness at work.

Our Mission

We exist to support intra-family and local adoptions. Intra-family adoptions rarely to never qualify for government aid. By helping to alleviate the financial burden of both types of adoption, we can enable orphaned children to remain with loving family members and find forever homes.
